Dr. Karianna Crowder
Dr. Karianna Crowder was born and raised in Santa Cruz. She received a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) in 2017 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2021. She then completed a small animal rotating internship with Pacific & Santa Cruz Veterinary Specialists in 2022 and has stayed on as an Emergency Veterinarian.
Dr. Crowder loves the unpredictability of emergency medicine and being able to connect with so many fuzzy friends and their human companions daily. She takes extra care in counseling and supporting owners during some of life’s most difficult decisions. On her days off, can be found teaching her cats (Sassafras and Piperales) new tricks, playing basketball, swing dancing, and frolicking in the waves.
