Dr. Koko Shishida
Dr. Koko Shishida grew up in Santa Cruz County where she enjoyed riding horses and training dogs from an early age. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with honors, she attended the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Shishida spent 12 years living and working in the Bay Area, including completing an internship at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists. In 2020-2021, she worked as an emergency veterinarian at the UC Davis William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, collaborating with residents and faculty across multiple disciplines and training students and interns.
Dr. Shishida is glad to be back home in Santa Cruz and staffing the emergency room at PSCVS. While not at work, she enjoys surfing, travel, vegetarian cooking and beach walks with her dog and partner.
