Kelly Akol - DVM, DACVIM(SAIM)
Dr. Kelly Akol graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School. She completed a small animal internship in southern California, and a residency in small animal internal medicine at University of Pennsylvania. Residency projects and publications were focused on feline diabetes mellitus and pancreatitis.
She began her career as a small animal internist in Santa Cruz in 1990, and has been practicing locally continuously since then. Although she enjoys diagnosing and treating a wide variety of internal medicine disease in dogs and cats, her subspecialty is feline geriatric medicine.
She has 2 dogs and 2 cats of her own. During her free time, she is an avid competitive ballroom dancer.
